Team Abovo worked with store owners Than and Charlotte Young to bring a new store, and new brand, to life on Broadway in downtown Fargo, North Dakota.
THE CREATIVE CHALLENGE
Starting with a blank slate/empty space, Team Abovo worked with the client to create a convenience store to represent Downtown Fargo. First, we developed the brand logo, along with a design style guide establishing the overall feel of the space including fonts, woods, metals and color palette.
Once the overall store was established, our next goal was to educate the public on the new store and variety of products available here. Our solution: Here for you. A campaign geared around the new business, emphasizing that this store is here for your needs in Downtown Fargo. Prior to opening, we encouraged the public to visit Dailysmarket.com to submit items they would like to have available. We then followed up with a “Here for you” social media post confirming that the items would be here. In-store signage on the product shelf accompanied each item. The Here for you campaign carried through in window displays, grocery totes and all outreach.
The area quickly caught on to the new store and its mission to serve the Downtown community. Ever changing in product selection, the Here for you campaign continues today. Log on to Dailysmarket.com and let them know what you need downtown, you might see your item popping up on a post soon!
Daily’s Market’s branding earned Team Abovo a “Gold” American Advertising Federation (AAF) Award for 2019 in the state of North Dakota.
The AAF’s annual award program honors excellence in advertising/marketing and cultivates the highest creative standards and is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry. Each year, AAF members across the country enter more than 40,000 samples of their best work which makes these awards the world’s largest advertising competition.
