The FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America) is a national organization that prepares members for leadership and careers in agriculture, including science, business, and technology. Through activities and award programs at local, state, and national levels, members apply the skills gained from agricultural education. The North Dakota FFA Association has over 7,500 active members in 95 chapters. The ND FFA Foundation supports these members by funding leadership development opportunities and agricultural education activities.
The ND FFA Foundation Annual Report contains a wealth of information, including statistics, results, inspiring stories, and sponsor advertisements. Our challenge was to present this content in a clear, engaging and cohesive manner.
Collaborating with a local printer, we brainstormed ways to improve the flow of information. Our solution was to incorporate gate folds and half pages to the 12-page report, which allowed readers to flip open sections for more details. This design choice gave the stories added impact, and though unconventional, it provided extra space for content without exceeding our budget.
The ND FFA Foundation’s Annual Report is distributed to thousands of people across 48 states, serving as a vital tool for sharing financial information, telling stories, inspiring readers, and retaining donors. Content is gathered by the ND FFA Foundation’s team, while Abovo designs the report, incorporating engaging illustrations and graphs. By making the report visually appealing with plenty of photos, we highlight the positive and forward-thinking future of FFA.
