THE CHALLENGE

Daily’s Market wanted to introduce its own in-house coffee brand. The goal was to sell it freshly brewed in-store, as well as offer whole bean and ground options in various package sizes. This brand needed to be premium, unique and fun—reflecting both the high quality of the product and the vibrant personality of Fargo.

THE SOLUTION

We crafted “Fargo Fuel.” The front label features a colorful locomotive design, prominently displaying Fargo’s 58102 zip code. Spend any time in downtown Fargo, and you’ll notice the trains cutting through the city—a nod to the town’s roots. The back label tells the story of Fargo’s history, from its early days served by steamboats to its rapid growth after the establishment of the railroad. Fargo itself was named after William Fargo, a director of the Northern Pacific Railroad, making “Fargo Fuel” a perfect tribute. Like the railroad once powered the city, this coffee fuels its people!

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Team Abovo loves weaving art into everyday products, and Fargo Fuel is a prime example of this passion. The packaging is both colorful and meaningful, with a design that draws you in as much as the aroma of the coffee itself. We also love opportunities to have a hand in naming something! The name “Fargo Fuel” is catchy, fun and embodies the energy of the city. The product doesn’t just taste good in your cup—it looks great on the shelf too. This simple product has been embraced by local organizations who offer a warm welcome to Fargo, including the Fargo Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau, and local Airbnb rentals. Fuel up, folks!
