Team Abovo recently collaborated with our friend and fellow Fargo-based business, Fuze Entertainment to turn our office’s storefront into a “glowing” campaign to bring awareness to National Breast Cancer Awareness month which is honored annually in October across the United States.
Fuze Entertainment, a disc-jockey and event theming company and our team combined our resources of lighting and event space to turn our Broadway location into a pink-glowing storefront with the campaign of “Bringing Light to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
The glowing Broadway building will be visible for the month of October (2018) and best visible from dusk to dawn.
“We wanted to join the thousands of organizations across the USA who bring awareness to breast cancer during this month,” says Drew Boraas, founder of Fuze Entertainment. “For us, it was finding a way that was genuine to our creativity and industry and together, with Abovo, this became idea became real.”
Boraas used the lighting equipment his company uses to light wedding venues to create the pink glow while we offered our storefront, space and graphic design capabilities for the campaign.
For Fuze Entertainment and us, this campaign is more than simply joining others creating awareness.
“I’m certain we all have important people in our lives who have been affected by this cancer,” says Andrew Young, founder of Abovo. “We hope this campaign reminds you to think of them whether they have fought or are still fighting.”
According to BreastCancer.org, 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime and over 40,000 women in the United States are expected to die by the end of 2018.
“We hope this also becomes a reminder that we have people across the world who are fighting every day to find a cure,” finishes Boraas.
